About Blind Bay Pines

A family cottage on Georgian Bay,
shared with care.

The Pines has been part of our family’s story for more than half a century. The original cottage was built by my father’s cousin and purchased by my parents in 1967, when Blind Bay was still quiet and wild — the kind of place where summers were defined by swimming, late-night fires, and the rhythm of the waves against the shore.

Over the years, the property grew along with the family. Additions were made, memories layered in — three children born and raised in Toronto, spending every summer here on the bay.

In 2010, I found the chance to create something new beside the original cottage — The Barn — a space I designed myself. Built from reclaimed wood and shaped by my love of music, it reflects both my creative eye and reverence for the land. I’ve poured care into every corner of these cottages, hoping each guest feels the same warmth and sense of home that our family has for decades.

Together, the two cottages now form a small, soulful retreat — a place for families, artists, and anyone seeking stillness by the water. What began as a simple family getaway has become something I now share with others who value what it’s always offered: connection, quiet, and the feeling of coming home to Georgian Bay.

Two cottages, one shared spirit.

Built in 2010 and designed with music and creativity in mind, The Barn blends reclaimed wood, warmth, and quiet inspiration.

The original family cottage, spacious and full of memories, with a rare sandy shoreline and southwest exposure.
