About Blind Bay Pines
A family cottage on Georgian Bay, shared with intention and care.
The Pines has been part of our family’s story for more than half a century. The original cottage was built by my father’s cousin and purchased by my parents in 1967, when Blind Bay was still quiet and wild — the kind of place where summers were defined by swimming, late-night fires, and the rhythm of the waves against the shore.

Over the years, the property grew along with the family. Additions were made, memories layered in — three children born and raised in Toronto, spending every summer here on the bay.

In 2010, I found the chance to create something new beside the original cottage — The Barn — a space I designed myself. Built from reclaimed wood and shaped by my love of music, it reflects both my creative eye and reverence for the land. I’ve poured care into every corner of these cottages, hoping each guest feels the same warmth and sense of belonging that our family has for decades.

Together, the two cottages now form a small, soulful retreat — a place for families, artists, and those seeking stillness by the water. What began as a simple family getaway has evolved into something we now share with others who value what this place has always offered: connection, quiet, and time shaped by the rhythms of Georgian Bay.
